With over 1 million rails produced to date for the M4 Carbine used by the US military, the KAC M4 RAS (Rail Adapter System) is one of the most combat-tested systems for the AR-15 platform. A straightforward drop-in upgrade, this non-free float handguard has authentic Mil-Spec M1913 Picatinny Rails running the length of it. The M4 RAS differs from other 2-piece quad rails on the market in that it uses a clamp and screw system to fasten securely to the rifle’s barrel nut, providing a very stable base for mounting tactical accessories. three KAC 11 Rib Rail Panels are included.

Requirements for a rifle: Standard, 2-piece polymer, M4-type handguards can be replaced with the M4 RAS by simply dropping it in. The rifle must feature a fixed front sight/gas block, round handguard end cap, delta ring assembly, and carbine length gas system. Work well with lighter barrel shapes (M4 or Government contours). The inside of the rail may need to be modified for heavier barrel shapes. Only for platforms based on the AR-15/SR-15; not compatible with SR-25 versions.
