The URX 3.1 13.5″ Rail Forend Assembly from Knights Armament is an entirely modular, free-floating replacement forend for the AR-15 platform. In contrast to conventional quad rail designs, the URX 3.1 eliminates the frequently underused rail sections for lighter overall weight and a more comfortable grip while incorporating short pieces of M1913 Picatinny rail at its front and rear ends for attaching tactical accessories. For compatibility with ambidextrous slings, there are a total of 4 integrated QD sling swivel sockets available. Any conventional gas system length is compatible with this URX 3.1 rail, however a low profile gas block is necessary. It will be essential to remove the factory barrel nut and disassemble the gas system of the weapon.
